Looking for a career? Come talk to us.

We are looking for Security Technicians to install and maintain our client’s security systems.

Security has changed, it is no longer just wearing hard hats, and getting dirty in factories pulling cable. Today a Security Technician is also highly skilled in computers, networks, low voltage electrical equipment, and software and generally in office buildings, retail spaces, and new construction. You will be trained to create and support the installation of security to protect our client’s employees and buildings.

The best part is you are never stuck in the same office 9-5, you don’t have to go through the mundane meetings at the office water cooler, and you don’t have to look at the same cubical every day for the rest of your life. Your hours generally vary to accommodate traffic and other personal needs. You get to meet different people and work in different locations regularly, and always getting to do new and exciting tasks.

With this position there is a real sense of pride and you will leave a lasting impact to this world, you will be able to feel this as you drive through the city and take note of the buildings you pass are protected, and the people inside are safe because of you, the unsung hero.

How does it all work?

Level 1 technicians will be teamed up with a Level 3 (or higher) technician to ensure you are properly trained and get comfortable with the position. Essentially you learn the ropes with an experienced professional. You will assist them in the day-to-day operations and will become accustomed to our sites. Through this time, you will see how a Level 3 (or higher) technician completes the day, whether through cabling a new install, to troubleshooting a layer 3 network switch. You will become accustomed to how we interact with our clients, and build a strong foundation for the equipment we use.

Once you and your mentor feel comfortable with your abilities and you have obtained at least one certification you will be graduated to a Level 2 Technician. All our Level 2 and up technicians are provided their own work vehicle with gas/maintenance card to get from home to our clients and back again. All major tools and specialty equipment will be provided with your work vehicle. Hand tools (the day-to-day, will be up to you to provide), the reason for this is every technician prefers different tools to use for their routine tasks. PPE equipment is provided when required (hardhat, glasses, vests). After your first year, we provide an allowance for your steel-toe shoes.

Mistakes happen and we understand that we work together to ensure that if we faulter we learn from our mistakes and improve the next time.
