Quality Assurance Representative
::: The incumbent of this role will be responsible for establishing, implementing and maintaining the Quality environment at the company. This will include working with various departments to build Quality Assurance into existing and future projects as well as the work environment, with a focus on maintaining ISO 9001 requirements.
::: ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES:
::: Responsible for maintaining and managing the quality management system at the company
::: Perform quality assurance activities necessary to achieve and sustain ISO 9001 registration status
::: Perform periodic quality system audits on vendors / suppliers responsible for the supply of major components and materials for Projects
::: Develop and implement quality assurance standards, processes and controls
::: Document, issue and maintain product, process and system non-conformance via non-conformance reporting (NCR) database (MS Access)
::: Recommend improvements to quality system and develop corrective actions
::: Manage ISO initiatives, including quarterly quality management review meetings
::: Update ISO process flow-charts, instructions and forms in accordance to document control procedures and in harmony with Document Change Request (DCR) program
::: Communicate awareness regarding quality related issues
::: Review quality initiatives with all departments including Tendering, Sales, Project Management, Engineering, Service and Procurement and provide ongoing assistance and education of quality assurance methodologies, processes and requirements
::: Provide training and oversee all internal and external audit functions
::: Orientation and training of employees regarding quality related activities and responsibilities
::: Assist in the development of quality plans, operation manuals and health and safety procedures consistent to project related contractual requirements
::: Perform analysis on quality system functions including, yet not limited to, NCR data analysis, preventive actions relating to “lessons learned” program, customer survey results, supplier audit results, etc.
::: COMPETENCIES AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
::: A minimum of 5+ years related experience, QA lead preferred
::: Minimum post secondary education
::: Must have a strong working knowledge of quality assurance methodologies
::: Experience in an ISO environment
::: Knowledge and understanding of engineering and construction contracts and procurement practices, regulations and requirements would be an asset
::: Able to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
::: Team player with exceptional communication skills
::: Focused attention to detail
::: Proficient in MS Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
::: Knowledge and practice of MS Access would be an asset
