Trainee Engineer reporting to Sr. Mechanical Process Engineer.
Responsibilities:
- Work closely with Engineers, Designers, and other Trainees engaged in applications engineering for turnkey diesel power generation projects
- Do research type work to provide specific solutions to diesel power plants including developing reference design for standard plants
- General project administrative duties
- Develop P&I Diagrams, and process flow diagrams for EPC projects
- Work on “cost down” value analysis for systems and equipment
- Develop major equipment specifications
- Sizing of equipment, materials selection, pipe sizing, and other aspects of plant designs
- Review of vendor documentation
Qualifications:
- Enrollment in an engineering program from a recognized institution
- Basic proficiency in computerized drafting (AutoCAD) and MS Office (Word/Excel)
- Strong English communication skills, written and verbal
- General knowledge of power generation
- Ability to work effectively as a member of a multi-disciplinary team
- Organization skills including the ability to manage multiple tasks and assess priorities
